Ceramic tiles are made from a mix of sand, clay, and other natural products.
The products are combined and moulded into shape and then fired at a high temperature (up to 1250 degrees Celsius) in a kiln to produce what we know as ceramic tiles.
Ceramic tiles are very versatile and can be used in any room in your house.
They can be glazed or unglazed, with unglazed ceramic tiles being more porous than a glazed tile. Patterned ceramic tiles are created by putting the pattern into the glazing. This means that, if the tile chips, you will see the base material and the pattern will be interrupted.
Textured surfaces can also be given to ceramic tiles, for that added special touch.
